Hollywood Hills

 

Home to some of L.A.’s most iconic landmarks (most notably the Hollywood sign), Hollywood Hills is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the city. It’s known for one-of-a-kind hilltop estates with incomparable views of Hollywood Boulevard and Downtown Los Angeles. Homes date as far back as the 1920s and feature a range of architecture, including Spanish Revival, Mediterranean, Arts and Craft, Mid-Century Modern, and Contemporary. Just down the hill on Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards are chic restaurants, trendy boutiques, comedy clubs, live theaters, and a star-studded nightlife. Being adjacent to Griffith Park and Runyon Canyon Park also gives Hollywood Hills residents easy access to green space and outdoor recreation. The Crypto.com Arena and culturally-rich Downtown L.A. are a short drive or metro ride away.

Residents are a mix of wealthy entrepreneurs and famous celebrities who value their anonymity and privacy but love to head to town to socialize. You also won’t find any block parties here — just private mansion parties with ultra-exclusive guest lists.

 

 

A short drive to Hollywood and West Hollywood are countless dining options. A local landmark, Yamashiro Hollywood serves inventive sushi rolls, prime steak dishes, and handcrafted cocktails. The skyline views from their Japanese garden are among the most photographed scenery in the city.

 

Home of the Academy of Magical Arts (AMA), The Magic Castle is a private club and restaurant where only members and guests of members are allowed. This ultra-exclusive venue has a strict dress code and does not allow any photography inside.

 

The historic Chateau Marmont has an upscale restaurant and bar frequented by celebrities. Famous diners have included Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Lawrence, Drake, and Selena Gomez. Another celebrity hotspot is Craig’s in West Hollywood, which specializes in elevated American fare.

 

Hollywood’s oldest eatery, Musso and Frank Grill, serves classic American dishes in an ambient white tablecloth, supper club setting. For rooftop views, The Highlight Room in the Dream Hotel serves classic dishes and signature cocktails, and Bar Lis in the Thompson Hotel has an elegant French Riviera-themed lounge, live music, and dancing.

 

For shopping and entertainment, Ovation Hollywood has retail stores, cafes, and a bowling alley. It’s also home to the Dolby Theatre, which hosts the Academy Awards. Nearby are the historic TCL Chinese Theatre and The Egyptian Theatre along Hollywood Boulevard.
